Try the cane as a swizzle stick :
Use the peeled sugar cane as a swizzle stick in any sort of beverage. This can give alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages a natural sweetness.
- Try dropping a stick into unsweetened tea. You can leave it in hot or iced tea for a few minutes to extract the sweetness, or just enjoy the gradual sweetening of the stick stirred in over time.
- Use a sugar cane swizzle stick in a rum-based cocktail like a mojito or planter’s punch for a gentle sweetener.
This is our tall grass, which looks rather like a bamboo cane, and grows 3-6 m high with culms (stems) 20-45 mm in diameter. The thicker-stemmed forms are commonly known as ‘thick’ or ‘noble’ canes because of their tall, handsome, colourful stems, and is used worldwide as a sweetener, preservative and in the cosmetics industry.
We package the think long stems as a whole or cut to a fair length according to our client’s preference. We look forward to grow more of this fruit and expanding its supply.
